Orthokeratology

What is Orthokeratology?

Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) utilizes specialty gas-permeable contact lenses that temporarily alter the shape of your eye, correcting your vision as you sleep. With your vision being corrected overnight, you no longer have to wear glasses or contacts during the day.

Myopia Management for Children

Ortho-K lenses are used to control the progression of myopia (near-sightedness) in children. The goal of myopia management is to limit your child's development of myopia in order to protect their eye health. Higher levels of myopia increase your child's risk for developing eye diseases, such as glaucoma and retinal disease, in the future.
