Refraction
In our office, we use the latest and innovative Digital Refraction System by Marco.
The TRS uses advanced computer and infrared technologies to help us better evaluate your unique visual needs. The TRS also allows us to perform additional tests and to compare your old and new prescriptions immediately. You will notice that it’s easier for you to tell us, “Which is better – 1 or 2?” The TRS makes you a partner – to verify the decision of which Rx is best for you. In fact, the entire exam procedure will be faster and more comfortable for you. Only the most technologically-advanced offices offer this sophisticated system. Our entire staff understands our obligation to offer the best available care to our patients. Our job is to make your vision as close to perfect as we can, and the Total Refraction System by Marco helps us do the job. |
OCT Imaging
Transform Your Eye Exam into a Comprehensive Assessment of Ocular Health
Your annual eye exam should include more than just reading an eye chart. Ask the doctor about non-invasive Optovue OCT imaging.
What is OCT Imaging? (Optical Coherent Tomography) This type of imaging visualizes the structures of your eye — from the front, or anterior segment, to the back, or retina. We recommend the screening iWellness OCT scan to all our patients. In just a few seconds the painless and non-invasive OCT imaging scan can give the doctor a comprehensive view of your eyes, to aid in diagnosing disease and managing your ocular health. |
Meibography and Dry Eyes
Meibography is used to visualize and observe the Meibomian glands that are located under the eyelids. These glands produce oil that make up our tear film. However, when the glands are not working properly, we experience dryness of the eyes.
Our office uses Marco's Phoenix Meibography Workstation with Topography to treat symptoms of dry eyes. This equipment provides interactive dry eye reports, topography reports, and other dry eye analyses such as meibomian gland imaging, tear meniscus height measurement, and non-invasive tear film break-up. These reports and images allow us to assess the proper management of your dry eye condition, as well as observing how your eyes are responding to treatment during follow-up. |
